Accessibility Statement

Effective Date: April 27, 2025  |  Last Updated: April 27, 2025

Our Commitment

WARRIORUP Foundation is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all people, including individuals with disabilities. We believe that every veteran, caregiver, donor, and supporter deserves equal access to our mission, programs, and resources, regardless of ability or assistive technology used.

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and to comply with applicable provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the California Unruh Civil Rights Act.

Measures We Have Taken

To support accessibility, WARRIORUP Foundation has implemented the following measures on this website:

Semantic HTML5 landmarks (header, main, nav, footer, section) to support screen reader navigation
ARIA labels and roles on all interactive elements including buttons, links, and form fields
Skip-to-main-content link available at the top of every page for keyboard-only users
Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images; decorative images are marked with empty alt attributes
Sufficient color contrast ratios meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards (minimum 4.5:1 for body text)
Keyboard-navigable interface with visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
Responsive design that adapts to all screen sizes and supports browser zoom up to 200%
Form inputs with associated labels and descriptive error messages
No content that flashes more than three times per second to reduce seizure risk
Donation and contact forms are fully operable via keyboard and screen reader

Known Limitations

While we work diligently toward full accessibility, we acknowledge that some areas of our website may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. Known limitations include:

Some older PDF documents linked from the site may not be fully screen-reader accessible. We are working to remediate these documents.
Third-party embedded content (including Stripe payment forms) is subject to the accessibility practices of those providers.
Video content, if added in the future, will include closed captions and audio descriptions.
